December 3rd and a very cold day (-1˚C) - Ian devises a method of de-frosting facing bricks before laying them to complete the garage walls (or was he just trying to keep warm?)...

...meanwhile Window Installers from Carey & Fox of South Kirkby, West Yorkshire arrive on Site with our beautiful windows and begin fitting them. The work took over 3 days with Steve, Gavin and their team working very well together to achieve a fantastic result which we are extremely pleased with. Ian begins setting out the garage roof trusses with help from his young assistant, Lee.

Another weekend comes and I begin fixing the Siberian Cedar Cladding to complete the Canopy on the front elevation and Balcony on the South. Siberian Cedar is a much harder wood than European Cedar because it grows very slowly due to the extremely cold climate.

On Wednesday December 24th, Rob and Shaun arrive from Sunfold Systems with our SFK70* Folding Sliding Doors to begin installation and with our careful preparation which was advised by Sunfold's Technical expert, the work goes well and by Friday afternoon the doors are all fitted.

Rob and Shaun proved to be very skillful and made the precise work look relatively easy and after careful inspection of their workmanship, we are extremely delighted with the doors.

The Quadra is becoming a beautiful home thanks to the high standard of expertise demonstrated by every contractor working on this project.

*(Sunfold's highest spec external aluminium system with 70mm thick aluminium frames which offer a severe weather rating and non-finger trapping seals).
